College Fair! Again!
This Saturday, October 12th, from 9:00-1:00, St. Joseph Catholic High School will host its second annual college fair to offer advice and information about college admissions.
The Importance of Creating a Diverse
Resume, Unique Essay, and Letters of Recommendation for College Applications:
The college admissions process can be daunting, but a few helpful tips can eliminate anxiety and stress for both students and parents.
A Diverse Resume can provide insight into your interests and
accolades, letting you stand out as a unique prospect to a college admissions
counselor. In making admission decisions, resumes are often a
pivotal tool for colleges. Find out more about how to craft and
present a solid resume at the college fair this Saturday!
A creative and personal College Essay can make the
difference between receiving the little envelope and the big envelope! A
College Essay should reflect your personal style, and inform the reader about
what makes you who you are. Essays are required on the Common Application. This
Saturday, come to the college fair for guidance and advice about how to write
the perfect essay!
Letters
of Recommendation can set you apart from the
crowd applying to your dream school. It is important to select people who know
you well and will write a positive review of your character. We will share
information about how to select the right person of reference for you!

Second Annual College Fair at St. Joseph Catholic High School
This Saturday, October 12th, St. Joseph Catholic High School will be hosting its second annual college fair to provide information for higher education opportunities. It begins at 9:00 am at the high school, and will last until about 1:00 pm. There will be presentations on
The fair is open to all those interested, regardless of age. All students and parents are encouraged to check out the helpful college fair!
Mr. Salvo, Dean of Students at SJCHS, said "This fair is unique because it offers more than just the basic academic requirements for college. It helps with all of the important factors in college admissions. it will help parents help their children make a better decision."
Lily Bosworth, a junior, who attended the college fair last year said, "As a sophomore, the college fair was a helpful tool for me to begin my college search. It gave me direction on how to approach my search, and useful tips on how to prepare to apply to college."

Region Champions
Girls Tennis and Baseball Win Region
Over the weekend, St. Joseph's Girls Tennis team placed first in the region. The Lady Jayhawks are doing exceptionally well this season, and success is expected during the State Tournament this weekend.More exciting sports news came, when on Monday, September 30th, the Baseball Team beat Dugway to become the Region Champions. It's been quite a few years since the baseball team has captured the region title, so the players, coaches, and fans were very excited. Baseball's State Tournament begins next week.
